The Beaubien House
Built in 1851, The Beaubien House is a unique and historically significant building in downtown Detroit.
In 2016, Detroit Rising Development took over renovation and property management of the Beaubien House. DRD oversaw the rehabilitation of this historic building from an outdated office space into a unique and intimate co-working space. Work completed included:
- Installed reclaimed hardwood flooring from Detroit area
- Added full-view doors to the new conference room
- Replaced base molding
- Updated kitchenette cabinets, tile, lighting, plumbing and electrical
- Updated plumbing and fixtures, lighting and carpet throughout
- Redesigned unfinished third floor into 4 private offices and 4 dedicated desks
The result was a well-proportioned, historic interior that offered a unique and comfortable workspace. Key tenants included Femology, Facilities Management Group, Applied Environmental, Worldwide Tax Services and more.
DRD ended its operation of the Beaubien House in early 2020 and property management reverted back to the building owners.
